Shon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science, with Athletic Training emphasis from Penn State University and a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University. Prior to settling in Southeastern PA, Shon served as student as well as graduate assistant athletic trainer for Penn State University Athletics, working with multiple NCAA champions as well as future professional and Olympic athletes in football, wrestling, as well as track & field and men’s lacrosse. A long time athletic trainer in his local community, Shon has worked formally with 5 local junior and senior high school athletics programs over the past 20 years in both injury prevention as well as strength & conditioning capacities.

Shon started Comprehensive in 2000 in order to give his local community a clinic where physical therapy treatment could be taken to a new level-one where manual therapy, functional mobility, practical strength and improved function intersect for all patients, leading to optimal outcomes. Over the past 10 years this has been the case in Southeastern PA, with Shon solidly known as the “go-to” therapist of choice for complicated musculoskeletal problems. High school state champions, collegiate All Americans, national team members as well as adult competitive athletes have all repeatedly utilized Shon and his team for optimal results. Based on this, Shon’s patients include local physicains and other health care practitioners as well as their friends and family.

Athletes are not the only ones who have benefitted from time spent in the clinic with Shon. Patients with complex postural and pain issues, post surgical cases as well as those with neurological, balance and TMJ pathology have benefitted from Shon and his team’s unique combination of targeted manual therapy and appropriate therapeutic exercise.

Shon has been published in The Physician and Sports Medicine, ADVANCE for Physical Therapists, the EliteFTS website, as well as Men’s Health.

A traditional martial artist, Shon holds shodan (black belt) rank in both Shotokan and Isshin Ryu karate, and is a 2 time Keystone State Games champion as well as a formerUSA Karate Federation competitor at the national level. Currently, Shon is an active track and field competitor, primarily in the 100 meters.
